Contract FAQ

How do I add an adviser’s signature to my agreements?

To add an advisers signature to a contract there is only one way. First you will need a image of your signature. Once you have a image follow these steps.
Open your contract by going to the contract template menu from the left menu panel. See below for an example
Then open your contract and you will see the following word editor window.
Simply click on the image button and upload your image once uploaded the image will appear in the contract as highlighted in the screenshot above.
For the adviser signed date, use the {{CurrentDate}} placeholder. When you assign the contract to a case, this will automatically update to the assignment date.

I need multiple people to sign the agreement. How can I add placeholders for multiple people?

There may be times when you need more than one person’s signature on a contract. For instance, if two people are listed, both will need to sign. We also understand that signatures may not always happen at the same time. Let’s walk through how you can handle this using Adviseraide.
Step 1. Open the contract template by clicking on the contract template in the left panel and clicking on a contract.
Step 2. Insert signature placeholders
Click on the placeholder field button highlighted below and add signature placeholders in your template.
You will see the following placeholder screen popup from the right side
Here you can click on the {{ClientSignature1}} {{ClientSignature2}} and paste them into your word editor by using Ctrl+V
When you paste the signature you will get {{ClientSignature}} and you have to manually add the numbering to {{ClientSignature2}} {{ClientSignature3}} etc
Add unique signature dates
To add contract signed dates use: {{ContractSignedDate1}} {{ContractSignedDate2}}This ensures that the date will only be inserted when the second signer completes their signature.
Just a quick tip: if you’re accepting multiple signatures, like {{ClientSignature1}} and {{ClientSignature2}} for multiple people to sign, be sure to also include the matching date placeholders, such as {{ContractSignedDate1}} and {{ContractSignedDate2}}.
If you only use {{ContractSignedDate}} without a number, the date won’t show up in the contract.
Here is final example.

Next step: If you want the second person’s name to come from the client profile, you can do this by following the steps below.

I would also like to add a partner’s name to the client profile and use it in the contract. How can I achieve this?

This is where the power of Adviseraide really shines. Let’s say the main applicant is a spouse, but the person paying for the application is the other half (husband, partner, etc.). In the contract, you want the name of the person paying to appear automatically when you assign the contract to the case. Here’s how to set this up:
From the left panel, select Settings, then click on the Client tab. Next, go to the Custom Field menu and click Create Custom Field. Follow the sequence shown in the image below.
A screen will appear. For now, choose Short Text.
On the next screen, enter the name of the custom field you would like added to the client profile. In this example, I chose Partner Name.
Once you add the Partner Name field, it will appear in both the Client Profile screen and the Create Client screen. You can set the value and save it.
To add this field to the contract template, open the contract template and click on the Placeholder button.
If you scroll down, you will see the Partner Name field.
You can simply add this to your contract. Next time you assign the contract to a case, as long as the Partner Name field is filled in, it will automatically appear in the contract for you.
